Challenges are meant to achieve them!

Dear all!

2 years ago, I got the incredible opportunity to start living in Austria and, what`s more, I started my International Business Management Master. You might have heard of “great things are coming out your comfort zone…” such a common topic, isn’t it? I have to say that the real satisfaction of considering of such a quotation comes from really trying to achieve something that you never thought of it. Let me tell you my great experience…

I remember as it was yesterday when I met a bunch of people in Valencia (Spain), most of them could speak more than three languages fluently. I wasn’t even able to fluently speak English by that time… what an embarrassing situation! After my exciting trip to Valencia, I had ahead 7-hour-road trip to come back to Seville, my hometown. Many hours but in more than good accompany with my best friend. Conversations came in and out but finally, I decided to face the biggest challenge of my life so far. I wanted to live in other countries and graduate as International Business Management.

It wasn’t a simple decision, it implied to leave behind many important parts of my life: culture, family, friends, basketball, my city, my country. Hard! isn’t it? Some of you might be wondering, why to do so if it is too hard… The answer to that question is clear for me: I wanted something different, challenging and exciting! I might have found a job, got married or keep playing basketball with my family-team but I chose to experience something else, something that it would make me live things I ever thought of it.

In order to get graduated at such a program, English was a must so I decided to build up my skills by living in England. Cambridge, what an amazing city! There, I met incredible people, got my level of English and what is more important, I had a remarkable experience!

Time to change came! After some skype calls and deep conversations, I decided spontaneously to turn up the level of challenging: Germany! I never thought that I would go to live in Germany and learn the language, are we crazy? Yes! I was! A year full of experiences, nice people and great culture! I will never forget my year in Konstanz for many things but more importantly, I met you there, Dinschen!

Finally, I got accepted for the master and there I went: Villach, Austria. I had never heard anything about the city but I have to say after 2 years that it is a beautiful place with many opportunities to visit places around. It will be so tough to forget things like going to Silbersee, Slovenia, Italy, playing beach volleyball and meeting people from all over the world! Moreover, I accomplished a new challenge in my life: I eventually finished a master in English, abroad and with thesis included! Only to think of it I feel quite realised and happy to have got out of my comfort zone and experience many amazing things! But now what? should I stop?

Absolutely not! Now it is time to move on! Amsterdam! what a cool place to live, isn’t it? Such time of working in Gastronomy and struggling to cope with studies and work is gone! I will face a new challenge in my life, new job and build up my international professional career. What else can I ask for?

Whenever you have something in mind that implies many difficult and challenging steps, give it a try! You will never know how it feels to get out of your comfort zone and achieve something unforgettable until you do it!

Go for it!!
